Exiled (2006)

One of my favorite films now from one of my favorite directors, the great Johnnie To.
After years in exile for attempting to kill the evil boss Fey (Simon Yam), Wo returns to his home town to find hitmen Anthony Chau-Sang Wong and the brilliantly named Lam Suet, another personal favourite, have been sent to kill him. However, two old friends have also arrived to try and protect Wo and his young family. After an initial spat, they decide to get together and do one last job to raise money for Wo's wife and baby but of course things don't go quit as planned and it snowballs from there.
Fans of Hong-Kong cinema will recognize most of this wonderful cast and To is, along with John Woo and Sam Peckinpah, one of the true masters of the shoot-out.
This is an all-guns-blazing buddy movie and not nearly as silly as a lot of them.
A must see, even if it's just for Lam Suets great smile!
